When you ordered panniers in the past, and even still today, you only had two choices. TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT, manufacturers and dealers just sold you what they had made thousands of, with no choice at all.
Well, I’m sorry, but that’s just not good enough. Why should you hand over your hard earned cash, for what is basically a compromise of what you really want.
I have ripped up the rule book, when it comes to ordering your panniers. NOW, YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT.
When I re-designed the pannier systems, I built in several areas of adjustment, into the cutting procedures of the pannier profile (what the pannier looks like when it is laid out flat). The choice is yours on the overall size of your panniers. I don’t use the usual measurement of litres, instead, I go by the overall size of the boxes. I don’t think anyone makes a tent that packs into cube of “x” amount of litres, so it really is a meaningless figure that no one ever checks anyway. If you really need to compare the size of my panniers, in litres, the biggest set I make, are in the region of 150litres (unless of course, you want a bigger set?)
The lids have been designed in the same way, the choice is yours, you can have “high” lids or “low” lids, or anything in between the two, the choice is massive, and entirely up to you.
The panniers are anodised, which makes them very hard wearing, and prevents your equipment “dusting” against the bare aluminium, leaving black marks all over your clothes and camping gear. You even have a choice of colours. Black, silver, red, blue, gold and purple are just a few of the choices, you can even “mix and match” your choice, black boxes and silver lids or blue lids and gold boxes, for example.
