WARRANTY - A New Type of Aftercare from the Shed

There is no warranty at all on my worldbeater pannier systems, and I justify this in the following way.

I believe that the whole warranty system is flawed beyond belief. Anyone can say “my product has a twelve month warranty” which basically means their product only has to last a year, and they’re home and dry, and you are no longer their responsibility. Warranty’s are not worth the paper they are written on, and a warranty is no good to you, if you have a problem in the desert, or outback.

My pannier systems are built to last, I cannot see anyone having a problem with them at all, and I’m confident enough in my work, to stand by it.

All the welds are done by hand, instead of machine. A machine cannot instantly see a bad weld, or make minute adjustments all the time, it just welds, whereas a good welder has control over every aspect of the process.

I use the same process, making my panniers, as I have used and developed in over twenty years of metal fabrication, in the aircraft and motorsport trade. Again, what use is a warranty at 28,000 feet, or 200mph on a track. What would you prefer?

You can buy from Project VND, safe in the knowledge that none of my products carry a guarantee of any kind. A first if I’m not very much mistaken!

REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS

Again, I believe this is another first for Project VND.

Before, If you had and accident, or your panniers got severely damaged in some way, all the other “pannier” making companies would do, is take money off you for a new set.

If you are unfortunate enough, to have a major “off”, and totally wreck your Worldbeaters, You can return them to me for repairs. I cannot honestly see either the hinges or the locking catches, being totally wrecked. If I can salvage just the hinges and catches from your panniers, then that’s £120uk that you won’t have to find for your replacement set. You would be amazed at what is salvageable.

I have had a car reverse into me, and quite badly bend in my one pannier. It took me about an hour to bring it back into shape, and is now still going strong. In fact, they are at present, on the back of an 1100GS, in South America, on a six month tour.

Also, if you decide at some stage that you want to change your system in some way, for example, fit lower or higher lids or change the colour, then that can be arranged as well. There really is no limit to what I can do for you. Just ask!
